Pastor Darryl, his wife, Lynn, and their son, Joshua, live in the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach. He is a retired U.S. Navy veteran with more than 20 years of honorable service. 

 

Darryl felt the call to pastoral ministry in 2012 as a deacon at Bethel Baptist Church of Chesapeake. His call was strengthened and affirmed by the pastor and fellowship at Woodland Heights Baptist Church, where he now serves as the associate pastor.

 

In addition to serving as the associate pastor, Darryl is the founder and publisher of A Faithful Sower Publishing, LLC, and he is one of five contributing authors for its outreach website afaithfulsower.org. 

 

As an author and a minister of God's word, Darryl has an inner-driven passion for seeking the lost, sharing the gospel, and teaching the Bible. He also has a loving and giving heart for God's people. He has more than 15 years of experience serving in ministry, especially in the special needs community with ministries that include Young Life Capernaum, The Chosen Ministry, Vines of Vineyard, and Worship United. 

 

He holds a Master of Arts in Journalism with Media Communication studies and a Bachelor of Arts in English with Latin honors from Regent University.
